Overview
Hong Fan acts as a demon beast of the Centipede Race. He practices poison arts and is capable of crafting various poisons and antidotes, such as an elixir that brings no harm but amplifies pain by 60,000 times to stimulate consciousness, cultivation-scattering poisons, and medicinal poisons.
He is incredibly talented, raising his cultivation very rapidly. He instinctively understands various topics simply through observation, including dismantling formations, breaking out of seals, and combining martial art techniques. He wields the Formless Poison, a legendary realm of poison arts that affects anyone below the Integration (합체/合體) stage.
True Identity
Hong Fan's true identity is Radiance Supreme Deity (光明上帝), Heuk Sa.
He is an "Endlessly Sinister and Dangerous Existence".
History
Hong Fan hailed from the Head Realm, born from a lonely mother who hunted and ate human mortals because she mistakenly believed it would give her eggs a spiritual awakening like her. Seo Eun-hyun slew her before his ascension to Bright Cold Realm in the 12th cycle. To accomplish her final wish, he placed her eggs in the Ascension Path dense in spiritual energy and alighted the Demon Immortal Bamboo to promote the chances of the centipedes to spiritually awaken. By fortuitous chance, Hong Fan as a newly-hatched centipede randomly climbed onto Seo Eun-hyun's leg shortly before his ascension.
In the 15th cycle, at the Insect Race territory, he was given an auspicious name as part of the Earth Tribe Naming Project.
In the 17th cycle, at the Golden Divine Heavenly Thunder Sect, Hong Fan reached the Nascent Soul (원영/元靈) stage before age 20 and faced a massive heavenly tribulation. Contrary to expectations, his human transformation was not youthful but wrinkled and elderly, a hallmark of a demon beast with an old soul who reincarnates with faint memories of their past life.
