Tae Yeol-jeon

Grand Cultivator of the Human Race

"Yes, I lack talent in the Path of Cultivation, being only at the Core Formation stage...but I accidentally entered the way of the Heart Tribe and was mentored by the Esteemed One, from whom I inherited the Fighting Spirit, finally reaching this realm."
Tae Yeol-jeon was a human Grand Cultivator and a member of the Heart Tribe at the First Step Before the Throne stage. She existed only in the 18th cycle and was a direct disciple of the Esteemed One, Jang Ik.

Overview

Tae Yeol-jeon was not given a dharma name, so she adopted the Grand Nirvana Hall (Tae Yeol-jeon) she grew up in as her name. As someone of Integration-level strength, she earned the qualification of becoming one of the Grand Cultivators of the Human Race.

She used a willow leaf saber (柳葉刀, liuyedao) as her weapon. Her Heart Path Manifestation, "Heart and Heaven Taenghwa Painting" (心天幀畫圖), focused on the concept of "Certain Hit" (必中), making attacks impossible to dodge. Her techniques were based on the Seven Brilliance Kings of the Buddhist Path Method.

Tae Yeol-jeon is unique to the 18th cycle. In other cycles (15th, 19th), the nameless orphan monk she would have been did not enter the Heart Path.

Spoiler Warning: Later revealed to be Bong Hwa, Heavenly Venerable of the Underworld.

Abilities

Her attacks forced opponents to receive enlightenment from the Heart Path Method or die trying. This was particularly effective against practitioners of the Immortal Path (Heaven/Earth Tribes), as the contradictory enlightenments made it impossible for them to process.

Prowess

Peak Cultivation First Step Before The Throne (Heart Tribe)
