Realms refer to worlds/universes within the Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds. Mortals live their entire lives within a single realm. Cultivators traverse through these realms as they gain power and authority.

Overview
There are 3 types of realms that Cultivators travel through.
- The Mortal Realms
- The Middle Realms
- The Immortal Realms
The Mortal Realms
Mortal Realms is the starting and the lowest realms. There are two types of mortal realms:
Astral Realm
The Astral Realm is a realm similar to a universe. The individual worlds are a sphere and you can ascend endlessly into space. The only known Astral Realm is an unknown realm where Eun-hyun fell to during the 15th Cycle. However, 80% of Ascenders from Astral Realms call their realm Earth. (They call it Round World, which is the same as Earth in Korean [地球]) [1]
Decaying Corpse Realm
The Decaying Corpse realms are made of the corpses of True Immortals at the Vestige Liberation and Upper Immortal realm. Decaying Corpse Realms are realms where the world is flat surrounded by a world barrier. The Head Realm, where the main characters started their journey, is one among uncountably many Decaying Corpse Realms and has a unique property where the sun and moon are like eyes. It is an ominous place that is dangerous to Enders and True Immortals, annihilating many gods in the past.
Middle Realms
There are many middle realms but the only ones known are those located in the Sun and Moon Heavenly Domain:
In the middle realms, due to the immense heaven and earth spiritual energy, babies become Qi Gathering cultivators from the moment of conception. They are born as cultivators. Some with a bit more talent are born already at the 1st or 2nd stage of Qi Refining.
In the middle realms, people reach the Qi Building stage as early as their early twenties. By their 40s and 50s, everyone reaches that stage. Those over 200 years old are mostly Core Formation cultivators. From the Nascent Soul stage, substantial enlightenment is required, so the numbers drop there
Moreover, the human race seems to be considered somewhat of a ruling class and enjoys quite a high status.
Middle Realms are the corpses of True Immortals who have reached the Great Net realm or above. Great Net Immortal's bodies are on themselves Middle Realms where living being can grow and cultivate.
There are many Middle Realms in other Heavenly Domains, like the Myriad Laws Realm (萬法界) of the Bearing Tree Heavenly Domain. This Myriad Laws Realm is composed of the corpses of the 48 Great Immortals under the Heavenly Punishment Supreme Deity, Do Gon.
