Description

In this realm one becomes a net that binds the True Immortal Realm, engraving one's own laws into the world, and just as one mastered the planes of Qi and Fate in the Entering Nirvana stage, one begins to take control of a portion of the True Immortal Plane. From this realm onward, a True Immortal can open a Middle Realm within their own body.

True Immortals below the realm of Great Net split into the Interdimensional Void upon death and become Decaying Corpse Realms, but starting from Great Net Immortals, they turn into Middle Realms.

Great Net Immortals who have partially mastered the True Immortal Plane reach the end of the [path] they have followed. This is where the fates of the vast majority of Great Net Immortals are decided.

Advancement

The advancement to Earth Great Net Immortal is as follows:

  1. Transmit the power of the worlds where one has destroyed or created civilisations through the Upper Immortal Cultivation.
  2. Invoke phenomenon of the Immortal Dao in all worlds containing civilisation in each Heavenly Domain.
  3. Elevate the cultivation of those connected to oneself through such phenomenon and pull them using a "Great Net" into the Middle Realm formed within one's body.

If during this process, the power to be distributed to the Heavenly Domains where one has cultivated as an Upper Immortal becomes insufficient, the entire body is forcibly scattered and absorbed into Mount Sumeru to be devoured by the Great Mountain Supreme Deity.[1]

The advancement process for Heaven Great Net is reversed, i.e. ascenders arrive first and the Middle Realm is made after.

Cultivation Method

The realm formula for Great Net Immortal realm is the 36 Heavenly Spirits (天罡) and 72 Earthly Fiends (地煞).[2]

There is no need to cultivate both. Heaven Immortals cultivate through the way of Heavenly Spirit. Earth Immortals cultivate through the way of Earthly Fiend.

The Great Net Immortal realm formula is for raising one's own ''rank''. And to achieve this it is necessary to merge the versions of yourself from various space-times into the current version of yourself.

Heaven Immortals merge with their future selves from different spacetimes.

Earth Immortals merge with their past selves from different spacetimes.

Heaven Immortals use fate prophecy to prophesize a certain moment or scene in the future. If that moment or scene is one that judges the world based on their interpretation of the Immortal Dao and Origin Essence that they push forward, then once that scene of prophecy clearly comes to pass, the self who made the prophecy in the past and the self in the moment of its fulfillment overlap.

Earth Immortals, on the other hand, 'excavate' a version of their past self that matches their interpretation of the Immortal Dao and Origin Essence through history revision or history induction.

Once the scene excavated from the past starts to influence reality in any way, the past self overlaps with the present self.

To put it simply...

Whether Heaven Immortal or Earth Immortal, each must prophesize or excavate achievements made—or to be made—by their future or past selves, or through prophecy or excavation, raise those achievements to ''great feats''.

Then, they overlap the selves from the time of those "great feats" with their present selves.[2]

Stages of Great Net Immortal Realm

There are three stages, early, mid and late, but no grand perfection as the formula can be cultivated endlessly.

Early Stage

Not yet having cultivated Heavenly Spirit or Earthly Fiend marks the early stage.

Mid Stage

Regardless of how much one has cultivated the formula, simply engaging in the formula marks the mid stage.

Late Stage

Regardless of how much one has cultivated the formula, if one has pierced through the 'gate' leading to the origin of the Immortal Dao, that marks the late stage.
