Description

Not much is known about Upper Immortals, other than that they exist between Vestige Liberation and Great Net. However, the previous path of a cultivator does not affect which [path] they can choose in Upper Immortal. A person who rose to Immortality on the Heaven Path may become an Immortal Beast, and those who rose to Immortality on the Earth Path may become a Heaven Immortal.[1]

Those who embark on the [path of Fate] are called Heaven Upper Immortals (天上仙), and those who embark on the [path of History] are called Earth Upper Immortals (地上仙).

People who cultivate both paths will have their mind split.

Advancement

The purpose of the Upper Immortal advancement is to specialise your body in one of the Absolutes.

The formula for Upper Immortal Realm is the Radiance Ten Heavens (光明十天).

Without using Immortal Treasures or any devotees, only by relying on one's own prophecy or Immortal Art, one must create [ten fixed stars] in the Lower Realm. Then, when individuals from the Lower Realm use the light of those stars in their rituals, and all the light of the ten stars is entirely consumed in the rituals of Lower Realm inhabitants, they are engraved upon Mount Sumeru as [necessary] existences. When this happens, one will gain a starting point by Mount Sumeru to move towards the realm of Heaven Upper Immortal of the fate system or the realm of Earth Upper Immortal of the history system.

The Heavenly Tribulation to advance to Upper Immortal is as follows:

The world wringing dry the [light] of the stars one created—that is the Upper Immortal advancement Heavenly Tribulation. If one can endure, one advances to Upper Immortal as compensation for providing [light] to the world. But if one fails...their main body and their star of prophecy will be completely transformed into light and...eaten by the Radiance Supreme Deity. That is the Heavenly Tribulation for advancing to Upper Immortal.[2]

In other words, if an immortal begins the process of Radiance Ten Heavens, but fails to provide enough [light], they will be converted into [light] themselves, along with their means of resurrection.

Three Great Ultimates

Once a person reach Upper Immortal for either Earth or Heaven, the light symbolizing the pathway of history/fate respectively will merge with the Immortal Dao they follow to form a Taiji.

If the person was to reach Heaven and Earth Upper Immortal, the light symbolizing the pathway of history, the light symbolizing the pathway of fate and the pathway symbolizing their Immortal Dao will merge to form the Three Great Ultimates.

Cultivation Method

The formula of the Upper Immortal cultivation consists of two methods: Yang Pitch (陽律) and Yin Pitch (陰呂), and one can cultivate by following either method. The formula of Yang Pitch is simple as it involves either flourishing six different races and civilizations within a single Heavenly Domain, or flourishing a single race across six different Heavenly Domains.

However, the problem lies with Yin Pitch as Yin Pitch entails erasing six different civilizations and races within a single Heavenly Domain entirely, or erasing one civilization and race from six different Heavenly Domains. And in the case of Yang Pitch, there is an additional condition: the race and civilization must be [races and civilizations that have never existed before]. A malicious way of cultivation designed to be easier to advance one's realm through destruction alone.

That is the formula of the Upper Immortal cultivation—Yang Pitch and Yin Pitch.
